So today is the Summer Solstice, marking the astronomical beginning of summer…it's the longest day of the year, but also starting from now days will gradually begin getting shorter, as Earth continues to orbit around the sun, bringing us closer and closer to another winter.

So today we have entered the descending part of the year…gather ye flowers while ye may…!

P.S. Also happy Winter Solstice if you are in the southern hemisphere...didn't mean to exclude half of the planet! :-D It's the darkest day for you...but you are heading towards the light.

I took these pics on January 30th. I was about to go out, I opened the front door and I saw this. I only now realize that this alignment has been quite an astronomical event so I though I would post these, though the pictures are not nearly as wonderful as the real thing was.
